Introduction to Schwab One® accounts

The Schwab One account is a single investment account offering easy access to a wide range of investments and built-in cash management features, with the flexibility to add margin and option features. Certain Schwab One account registrations can be linked to an FDIC-insured Tooltip Schwab Bank Investor Checking™ account, which provides easy access to cash and a full complement of premium checking services. The Schwab One brokerage account is not FDIC insured.

The following features are available to Schwab One accounts (some features may be restricted for international accounts Tooltip ):

Key information related to Schwab One accounts:

  • Unlimited ATM fee rebates apply to cash withdrawals using the Schwab One Visa Platinum Debit Card at ATMs where they are accepted.
  • ATM fee rebates do not apply to any fees other than fees assessed for using an ATM to withdraw cash from your Schwab One brokerage account.
  • The Schwab One brokerage account has no annual account service fees and no minimum balance requirements. 
    • When a Schwab One account is opened with a linked Schwab Bank Investor Checking™ account, there is no requirement to fund the Schwab Bank Investor Checking account. 
    • If you open a linked Investor Checking account there is not a requirement to fund the linked Schwab One brokerage account.*

*Schwab Bank Investor Checking™ accounts are available only as linked accounts with Schwab One®brokerage accounts. The Schwab One brokerage account has no minimum balance requirements, minimum trade requirements, and there is no requirement to fund this account, when it is opened with a linked Investor Checking account.
