Available solutions

Schwab offers two types of Retirement Plan Solutions:

  • Retirement Business Services (RBS)—RBS is an open platform solution through which assets are custodied at Charles Schwab Trust Bank and serviced by independent recordkeepers, who provide customized retirement plan solutions to plan sponsors and their participants. RBS has alliances with over 140 independent recordkeepers who provide local presence and support for all types of business retirement plans.
  • Schwab Retirement Plan Services (SRPS)—Schwab offers a full-service (comprehensive) solution through which Charles Schwab Trust Bank provides custody and SRPS provides administrative services. SRPS typically services plans with $20 million or more in assets.

Under both solutions, advisors can maintain the primary relationship with the plan sponsor. Advisors can assist with the selection and monitoring of the plan’s investments as well as manage the PCRAs (self-directed brokerage assets) of the high-net-worth clients.
